Lost an old friend today
#1
I knew when I brought her home that she wouldn't live forever, but the day finally came when I had to say goodbye. She was always there for me and never let me down once in the 8-1/2 years that I was lucky to have her. Whether it was running thru the woods, splashing in a puddle, or making tracks in the snow. I realized a few weeks ago that the time had come and as I drove her in the truck today I remembered all the good times that we had shared over the years. When we arrived at our destination, I carried her in and placed her on the counter. The man then came and took her away down the isle and it was then that I realized that I would never see her again. But my sadness was soon replaced with happiness as the man returned and placed a shiny brand new AGM battery on the counter.
I have my fingers crossed that the new one will last as long as my OEM Polaris battery lasted. I am a firm believer that keeping your bike hooked up to a battery maintainer whenever your not using it will save you money and that the battery will last much longer. I keep all of toys hooked up when not in use and so far it has paid off for me. My 2005 Predator still has it's OEM battery in it, maybe I can get more than 8-1/2 years out of it, if not I won't complain since I have gotten my moneys worth out of it already.

Best post yet on using a battery tender! I have a habit of looking at the green light on my Yuasa battery tender whenever I walk into the garage, knowing that if my old bones feel like it I can fire up the old Honda and take it for a ride.If not I know it'll be ready the next time. OPT
