I have found a 95 Scrambler 400 that is in close to mint condition. It has got a new cylinider on it w/ a weisico piston. It has a lot of power too! It still has the original tires on and there is about half the tread left. The plastic has some minor scratches on it but nothing more. He is asking $3350 for it. Is this a fair price or not? If not what should i start at for a price? About how much is this worth? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Last time I checked the nada price on mine it was around 2800 and it is a '97. I think the guy is trying to get back some of what he has in it. When selling something you have modified, you really are screwed when it comes to selling it because the modifications, no matter how great, sometimes hurt the actual value. The pre 96's have been said to have had alot of reliability issues too. Mine is a '97 and has had no problems. I would be happy to get 3000 for mine and I have alot more than that tied up in it. I would go to nada.com and look it up. Then hit him with the lowest price they value it at and work from there.

I paid $2800 for my 97 400 4x4 Scrambler last summer. Sold the plow that came on it for $200, bringing my price down to $2600. I think $3350 is pretty steep. I agree with Sharpe1. Check the book value and negotiate bottom up. Good luck.

I paid $2700 for my '98 400 Scrambler 4x4, but I think I got a good deal. The guy was hurting for money, but aren't we all.

Seen a 95 Scrambler 400 4x4 today for $2500. I think that's more reasonable. Too bad you're so far away.

I just paid $4200 for a 2001 400 2x4 scrambler here in Indiana and it is brand new. I know its not 4x4 but that sounds a little high for a 95.
