As crazy is it may sound I read an article on a Snowmobile magazine website about the 780 4 stroke sled and they said that we should see the 780! in a Sportsman type atv. To me that is too big, but yeah I think if the big P starts to fall behind they will do something to get better. like if the rumored 660 liquid Grizz comes out, and if the Kawasaki proves to be as good as it sounds. Then we will see something from Polaris. the 500 HO Sportsman can't be the king forever. How far will they all go is the question? 750's 1000 triples? I think they will get to a point and then it will slow down look at sleds, i seriously doubt there will be much more than 1000 CC two stroke engines coming out. they seem to be working on better chasis and suspensions to make them faster than just dropping in more power. Weight will be a huge factor I personally do not want to drive 900 lb atv's.

i think the reason that we havent seen anything bigger from polaris is because Kawie cant get the 650 prarie out.

there is no competition to the sp700 yet. the kawie650 is been delayed, it already should have been out by now.

im guessing that there are production or durability problems with the kawie650. that is the reason for its delay. it must be hard to make a 650 prarie that is the same weight as the 400 praire.

no,I would say that Polaris will SKIP on the 600cc 4x4 and up the pot to a 700cc. It will come, and most rumors will cease. ride'em hard polcat

polcat2

is this 700 the same engine that polaris introduced recently in the new four stroke sled??
i believe that engine is 785cc, so will polaris make 2 versions? one for the sled and one for the quad.

looking at the picture of the engine, it looks very narrow and compact. almost too compact for a sled, but perfect for a sportsman
