On the 330 you have to lift the rear of the fuel tank up to get clear access to the intake valve cap. The exhaust is in open view at the front. Easier to pull the spark plug, but you don't have to. Just have both intake and exhaust valve caps off, remove the 14mm (9/16") timing cover bolt at the top of the recoil cover, pull the recoil rope SLOWLY and as the intake rocker arm goes down and starts coming up,look through the timing hole in the recoil with a flash light. You can see and inverted "T" which is tdc that lines up with the pointer on the recoil cover. Then you can check/adjust valves to .006 intake and exhaust. The "T" mark may be a little hard to see. Some have removed the recoil cover and marked the timing mark with a yellow or white permanent marker to be able to see it. Others simply use a zip tie (tie wrap) in the spark plug hole to determine tdc as the piston comes up. OPT
