I want to add a silencer to my bike I have the HPD Nickel pipe with my stock silencer. I am sick of looking at that pretty pipe with that ugly black beast attached. I want to keep the bike as quiet as possible (Don't want to tick off the neighbors) I was thinking of either the FMF turbine core 2 or the hpd forrest approved. Some help on my decision would be great.

I have the MSA spark arrestor silencer on my HPD nickel plated pipe. I have a 99 Sport. It sounds great, and isn't much louder than stock at all.

 

I have an HPD pipe with the FmF power core silencer with the spark arrestor and it works pretty good. It is a little louder than stock but not offensive. A good plus is you can polish it with some Mother's and it will shine as good as the pipe.

 

Im running a D.G. oval-lite with my hpd , It's a little louder than stock but not obnoxious or anything, It also looks great polished and only ran 79 bucks

 

has anyone heard a side by side with the dg and hpd msa. if so are they close in noise level? Accwhse has the dg at 74.99.(I don't mind paying extra if it makes a difference but the dg is alot cheaper)

 

I bought the HPD because I know that they sell nothing but top notch, quality items. I also do a lot of National Forest riding, where a spark arrestor is needed.

 

I have heard the DG and the FmF together and they sound more or less the same while idleing but the DG is a little louder on the top end. Also, you mentioned that you have an HPD pipe. The guy from HPD told me that the pipe will work fine with most silencers but you had to make sure that the silencer was at least 1 5/8" inside the tube that connects with the pipe for the it to work properly.
