Thumbs up Polaris 200 Phoenix

HI everyone! I recently had to clean out the carb on my '05 Polaris Phoenix because it wasn't running right. I had to clean the carb on my other quad (KFX 700) so I'm fairly experienced.

After cleaning the carb I made sure to clean out the jets really well and put everything back together. Bike will now only run with full choke and I have no idea why I didn't mess with the air/fuel or idle screws.

Also, is there a secret to adjusting the throttle cable? The throttle cable on the handle bar side is really loose. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm ready to light this little bike on fire LOL.

Thanks!

Throttle cable has an adjuster under a rubber sleeve to adjust slack. If it only runs good with the choke on then either you may have a fuel supply problem(remove the fuel line and check fuel flow) or may have some trash that may have gotten into the needle seat area slowing fuel flow or jets may be partially stopped up. Ethanol can eat up the insides of fuel lines also depositing little black specs into the carb stopping things up. OPT

Understood on the fuel lines. I had the same issue with my boat and had to replace all the fuel lines, add a water/fuel separator and also install new low pressure fuel pumps. Fun fun.

I thought maybe I didn't hook up the carb right but it was super easy just had to play around with that needle that screws down on the top ---- horrible design. LOL. I suspect that's the first place to adjust vs. on the handle bars (throttle adjustment) there, right?

BTW, thanks for the help!
