Hot seat Good or Bad?

The 500 Polaris motor is a lost cause if you want more power. The 500 HO has respectible performance stock, but getting any more out of it, for the most part, is a waste of time.
I looked into several options for my Sportsman to give it a little more oomph, and none of them were worth the price. $500 - $600 for cam, carb, head work and exhaust, only to get 6-7 more HP. PATHETIC
As for HotSeat, all the parts I ordered for my 400 were shipped quickly, fit perfectly, and outperformed my expectations. I have nothing but good to say. I have heard that if you realy want to go nuts and get 70 HP out of one you need to go with HPD, but in the 60 HP range HotSeat is a great choice.

Am glad someone asked this question, not sure if I am glad with the response. I too am also looking between HSP and HPD. This seems to help me none. Although I think I will go with HPD for the Clutch still not sure about the silencer.

Waited a month and a half for a swingarm and never did receive it. Called and cancelled it. Their pipes continuosly brake at the middle mounting tab and perform poorly compared to HPD. Sales staff could not answer my questions about clutching for my weight and riding style. They should stick to PWC's and sleds.

Sorry but I think Hotseat Clutch made a big difference on my machine. It is way better than stock and I had no problems installing it either...cause I cheated and just wrote out a check to the dealer. My dealer also didn't want to deal with any other company than Hotseat. Go figure.

Count your blessings. You are one of the few whose specifications and usage requirements met Hot Seat's given recipe.
Therefore you did not have to deal with Hot Seat to have them make any modifications or corrections.
We are talking about personally dealing with Hot Seat on service issues after the sale. About a product sold which does not meet the performance expectations of a retail customer.
