Stock front tires are 23x7x10 and rears are 22x11x10. My answer would be stock tires on stock rims and any thing larger and wider get new tires and rims. But you probably wouldn't like my answer Height is not the major problem, just the width the stock rim is designed for. Hopefully the tire guys on the forum will answer your question. OPT

Not sure about width, you would have to measure to see what room you have to spare.

You can buy 25" tires for 10" rims I doubt you would want to go larger/heavier then that on a 250cc.

ok my only thig is that the 23x7x10's are a lil hard to find in something that i want, so im looking for something more, "popular" that i could fit on the stock rim

You do not have to stay with the exsact stock size. Any tire made for 10" rims(there is still lots) will work but you have to measure hight and width to see if you have the clearance to go wider or higher on your ATV before something rubs. like mentioned usually higher like 24" is no problem.

Remember you only need half the differance. If you go from 23" wide to 24" wide thats not 1" wider but only 1/2" wider because its split the differance on both sides of the tire ,same with hight.

I have seen 27" tires made to fit 10" rims online.

I went from a 24-8x12 to 25-8x12. Fairly easy for me to upgrade.

You have to understand your tire size first. 23 is your tire height, 7 is your rim width, and 10 is your rim diameter.

Unless you're changing your rims with your tires, you'll be limited to tires that fit 7x10 rims. If you put too wide a tire for 7" rims and make a good size bump/rock, you'll pop the tire off of you rims.

Good luck.

I can't remember exactly how similar they are but I know I've seen a 250 trailblazer with 25's on the back on stock rims. I believe they were mudlights, but the guy said he hasn't had any problems with them rubbing anywhere. He did say he had to change his sprockets and clutching to make up for the larger size and rotational mass of the tire.

Google ATV tires for 10" rims there are many 23" to 25" in hight. No need for new rims but there is many more tires made for 12" Rims for sure.

I had a 1987 2wd 250 Yamaha Moto4 and it turned 24" rear tires (23" Fronts) with no trouble.
