welcome to the forum. when you had the cover off to replace the belt did you notice any scoring on the clutch faces(like groves in them)? the engine might be out alignmnet causing the belt to not track striaght an extra strain on it. how does the bike take off when ou throttle it up? is the take off power right there or is it a little sluggish? if sluggish, it could be the buttons are worn out in the secondary(big back clutch) and is causing the belt to be burned from not shifting correctly. you can pick up an oem belt on ebay for around $ 48.00. stick w/ the polaris oem belt for the best results.

Default Polaris scrambler belt problems?

Ya when I had the cover off I did not notice any scoring on the clutch face but did not inspect them in depth. When my bike is cold it takes off and rides very well but when warms up it is very sluggish and in a little mud or snow it will not move just burns the belt up.

Sometimes if you blow a belt the old belt parts can get wrapped around the back of the clutches and its a chore the clean out.

sounds like your burning the belt for sure. take off the cover and check the secondary clutch buttons behind the helix for them being worn out. also clean the clutches as mentioned above and make sure they move freely and are not hanging up form dirty weight bushings or worn parts.
