Scrambler 2x4 or 4x4

Default Scrambler 2x4 or 4x4

So looking to buy my first atv and I was considering a 96 scrambler 2x4 or 4 x4 both are around 1500 looking for suggestions on the better option

Once you go with 4x4 it is hard to go back to a 2x4. You just have more options on riding terrain.

Terrain should dictate what you get as long as both are in decent condition. If there are steep, rocky hill climbs, mud, or snow where you ride the 4x4 is a better way to go. If it's sandy, flat, and without major rock climbs or deep mud and snow, the 2wd will do the trick.

welcome to the forum. depending the money you have to spend, i would look around for a newer scrambler 500 4x4. the awd is there if you need it and don't have to use it if you don't. i think for a little more money, you could find say an 01' and up which would be a better bike. imo
