winch question mounting

Default winch question mounting

so i have a 1997 trailboss 250. and instead of getting an electric winch im just gonna throw a manual crank winch on there (like for a boat) where should i mount it? bumper? push guard bumper thing or rack? also how should i mount it? weld? bolt? whats yalls opnion??

alot of winches are mounted on the strong parts of a bumper using bolts or even good U bolt clamps w/ nuts and they seem to work fine. thats how i would hook it up and try it. imo

ok thanks! i just am gonna get a manual one, (gotta get the thing runnin first) i just dont have alot of money so i figuire i would just get a manual crank one, put it in F let it idle hope off and crank. or crank from the seat
