when i start my 2005 sportsman 500 it idles good but if i give it any throttle it wants to sputter and die. i have to let it idle for 20min. or once i drive it for abit it is good. when i put the choke on it doesn't do it either. also the exhaust tip looks wet and it spits abit, is this normal? what can it be?!?!? i''ve put a new plug in and fresh gas as well ,it runs great once i get going .

 

Have you checked into the carb. If it runs better with the choke on could be some trash in the jets or a needle and seat problem. Carb Rebuild Repair Kit Polaris Sportsman 500 03 05 | eBay
