I've heard it said that no one will screw you like your friends and relatives. It's certainly true sometimes.

Ok, So I am trying to get the centrifugal clutch out and its not coming out.
I tried using an impact and its not moving, when I try to use a bar the clutch spins.
Any ideas?

Also, there seems to be a keyed notch that someone stuck a small dent to keep the bolt on. I am guessing this is by design but wanted to mention it in case it matters.

If it's got a lock washer with a small indent tab that locks into the nut, this needs to be pried out then the nut should come off with an impact. It's been a few years since I got into an Expedition. Also not sure if this shaft is reverse threads or not,but be careful.. Sounds like you got a lot of irons in the fire with this one machine and the 350 also...

Its a new one for me. Its an actual bolt with what appears to be a metal rim that is meant to be punched into the groove to keep it put.
Here is a pic. Its also 31MM which seems very strange.

I remember now that you showed the close up pic. This is just a thin walled nut designed for this.Just pry this portion out to where it's not locking up against the shaft... Plus the engine bolts and nuts should be metric.

Well, I have pried the section out and hit it with an impact at about 100psi in both directions. Since I can't see the threads I am not sure which way they go... Does anyone happen to know if this is reverse thread before I put some heat on it and try again?

It's been too long since I've been into one,but I believe it's just regular threads, but to keep from damaging this engine I'd get a manual.Tried to find a free pdf,but no luck, this is the best one I've found so far.I'll keep looking in the mean time.http://www.ebay.com/itm/POLARIS-2001-XPEDITION-325-425-SERVICE-MANUAL-/121110598840?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&vxp=mtr&hash=item1c32c114b8
