Probably a combination of water in the clutches and splashed water in the electronics. Just pop the front panel, use an air blower to blow out any water. I'd use some dielectric grease(if you have it) on all connections and pull the plug cap to see if any water there. Stators get a lot of water through the recoil housing and the rope itself too. Some silicone the rope handle to help keep water out. There's a 14mm drain plug at the bottom of the recoil housing that you can remove to see if any water's in it.A little WD40 works wonders with the spray tube in the stator area on water dissipation. Clutches will usually dry themselves out if you leave it in neutral under a high idle for a few minutes then drive slowly until clutches are completely dry and not slipping.
