Default Stay away from-Houston Motorsports-they know nothing about ATV's

If you are from the Houston area and ever get a chance to take your bike to Houston Motorsports service department to have work done, let me warn you, those guys are flippin’ idiots. I don’t believe they have a clue how a 4 stroke motor works. All they do is hook up the computer to your bike and if it tells them all is good – they don’t have a clue what to do next. I took my bike to them about 6 weeks ago and I took it back this past Tuesday and had to pay $773.00 for a new starter install and for 4 hours of diagnostics. The computer would not tell them what was wrong so they decided it was the starter. Ordered a starter, charged me $409 for it. While removing the starter they decided to remove my air intake plenum. It was dirty so they decided to do a leak down test on my engine (without my permission). They said I had a week cylinder and needed a new motor. I told them no way to leave it as is. They installed the new starter and it still would not turn over. Turns out to be a broken wire on the bottom of the fuse panel. They installed a jumper wire and it worked – which means to me my starter was still good. The next problem was intermittent dying while driving. The computer told the 42 psi at the fuel pump and that it was getting spark. The service guy told me that because my motor was in such poor condition, it didn’t have enough compression to pull fuel into the cylinder to fire. Compression vs. fuel? Asked to “crack” my motor open. All this bonehead wanted to do was run up my bill to make his quota. After a week they told me they “primed” it by removing the air filter and putting gas through the plenum and it started and that was all they were going to do. It died loading it on the trailer at the dealer. I got it home and removed the fuse panel to see what they had done and they had broken a wire and just left it. Spark plugs installed but not tight at all. NEVER NEVER again. Just a warning!!
