Default Polaris Sportsman question

I was wondering what year Polaris started offering power steering in the Sports 500. Also can it be retro fitted to a 2000 model year.

The 500 Sportsman never had or has Power Steering. Just the XP550 and XP850. I know a person who added Power Steering kit to his Yamaha 700 Rhino side by side.
Not sure if ATVs have a aftermarket kit as well.

This kit doesn't go back to your 2000 model, but you can give em a call and see. That is if you're willing to part with $650. Polaris Sportsman Power Steering Kit : Power Steering Kits : ATV Power Steering : Polaris Kits

Interesting that the 500 never had PS we rode with a couple newer ones last week and they steered significantly easier than my 2000 model I just assumed they had PS. Wondering now if I have an issue in the steering or has Polaris just made the geometry better to ease steering effort over the years.

Cosiderable changes made on steering from the 2000 model in 2001. They eliminated the plastic steering block for the steering post(no more wobbly/up and down play on the steering posts) and installed a bottom plate with a bearing along with changes on tie rods and tie rod ends.Plus each year there seemed to be some little difference for the better on steering.
