Changed the inside boot on 2001 sportsman 500 what kind of grease goes in the boot?

 

A good lithium base chassis or marine type grease,which most good grease is today.Constant Velocity (CV) Joint Grease, 4 Wt Oz - Product Information OR you can just buy the tube type for your grease gun and fill the boot up.

 

Never seen a new boot that did not come with the grease pack included also. Where did you get that boot from?

 

We sold both at the shop. Boot kits with clamps and grease packs along with individual cv boots only and clamps only that people would sometimes only want that may want to reuse their clamps and had grease already.We had to try to keep in stock what people wanted.Some only wanted the boot for about $14 or so versus the kit for $22 - $23.
