Default 2005 Predator 500 Priming oil pump question

I primed my oil pump on my 2005 Preddy for the first time. Worked well as instructed and filled the oil tank till full before priming. After I got done priming and finished running for a few seconds the oil level was low. I put in exactly what manual says, but since it ran through motor for first time should I add for oil till its full again? I know this sounds stupid, but I am just checking, thanks.

If you added 2 full quarts and only ran it for a few seconds you will show low. Run it for at least 4 or 5 minutes and then kill it and let it sit awhile. Then check the level with the dip stick all the way in.

No,you wont be running it low.Now that I've opened my old memory bank a little on the Predator, after you run it awhile, kill it and check the oil level, you may have to add a few ounces or so to reach the full mark.Seems like this was the only model that took a tad over 2 quarts. It's been a while, can't remember all the machines and their quirks..
