96 Polaris xplorer 400

Hi there my reverse gear is shot in my 96 polaris xplorer 400 have found another complete transmission from a 96 xplorer 300 but am wondering if it will fit properly in the 400? Any help is muchly appreciated.

Should work as there is only one part # difference on the gear case assemblies. Mainly this is because of the carb dampener block mounted on the 400 gear case.
