01 Sportsman 500 ho,the little one way check valve that hooks to the bottom of the drain hose on the bowl was sitting on top of the motor,what direction should it be hooked up?so air can go in or so fuel can flow out?If it was *** backwards what would happen?Thanx

 

Imo I'd chunk it. They end up falling off from vibration anyway. I've found a lot of em loose on top of the engine. Just run a length of hose from the bottom of the carb a little past the bash plate.

 

Will do.It just lets fuel run out if the bowl overfills?

 

The tube is for the carb bowl drain and over flow also.
