not much power going up hill

Angry not much power going up hill

Just bought a 2001 Polaris sportsman 400 and it idle's good and runs good but doesnt seem to have much power.. I started to climb a bark pile today after i bought it and when i started up the pile i had it full throttle and the tires didnt even spin..Why. and top speed i can only get 35 mph

This could be carb or clutch related. Ramp buttons are a common wear item on the rear clutch along with the front clutch guide buttons and belt. Carb kits are cheap on Ebay and here's one online source for oem parts.
