Shedhead,
Wash your ATV with caution. Be careful you don't push mud and junk where there is none. Also, you may want to go with the 3-time method: 1st water, then soap, then details. You never get it all the first time anyway.
Good luck, Pressure wash carefully and only use it after most of the junk is gone.

i hose off the mud with a garden hose then i spray it down with white wall cleaner, let it soak for a while and then hose it off with a garden hose. the white wall cleaner does a great job of removing the brown gung that cover most quads.

I always use a gardenhose. It takes a little longer but there aren't any problems the next time you take it out. I'll try the whitewall cleaner if my hose ever thaws out. Sounds like a good idea.

I found the best way to wash is with hot water. I figure I will save the money on th pressure washer and pay for the hot water. It really makes a difference. Old mud comes off, bugs, marks, etc. Everything loosens up easily. I found this was also the best way to get bugs off the grill or windshield of the car. No wonder that Car washes, and coin-ops use hot (perhaps warm) water.
Works great for me.

You can wash them with presure wahers but be dam careful around grease seals and especially the RADIATOR. High presure will bend the cooling fins and then your motor doesn't cool properly and over heats and THEN you got yourself a whole new set of problems. Take your time and use a garden hose. Save yourself some money
