2003 Polaris Trail Boss
#1
Hello everyone, I am quite new to ridding and looking for a little advice.
I bought my Girlfriend a Bombardier Rally 200 and she loves it... She has spent some time ridding and this was perfect for her. I myself have not spent much time ridding always more water sports, but have enjoyed ridding her Quad so much I now have to get one...
I found the Polaris Trail Boss 330 used in my area and I think I like more of the trail ATV style then the racing style and was wondering what are the best things to look for? Is this a good reliable Quad are there any problem areas I should look for ? just looking to here what people have to say about them and and advice you can give me.
Thanks again!
Shane

Good machine for the most part as the 330 had already had the oil cooler line problem on the early 325 models fixed. Kinda clunky going into gear, but was normal.Fans didn't come on until super hot,but didn't affect running. We sold quite a few of these and not many warranty problems. All depends on how it was taken care of and maintenance.Good basic entry level quad. Here's a link for a pdf service manual for a 2009 model as basically they were all the same over the years except plastic for the most part. The one thing I didn't like about the change from the 325 to the 330 was the bumpers. Don't know how may trees my old 325 hit, but it only damaged the bumper. Was on my second ride of my brand new out of the crate kfx 400, and a friend
rear ended the 400 on a 330. Broke my tail light. Since the rack/bumper goes through the fenders on the 330, it not only bent the bumper, it cracked the fender plastic as well.
