My 99 needs a new float needle,it tends to drip some,the rubber tip has a groove around it.I put it back together this evening until I ordered a new needle/seat which is around $30.Talked to a buddy who has a new needle/seat for his 02 500 HO he has no use for seeing he sold the atv.I know the seats are different but are the needles the same? I will likely pick up a new set for mine but I was just curious

 

Both needles and seats are different. Stay with the one for your model..
