Sorry! Had a four stroke on the brain for some reason.. If you have the oil pump wheel index mark lined up with the mark on the pump body,it's preset at this position to mix at approximately 50-1 ratio. Oil is not the only reason a two stroke can smoke excessively. Running rich on fuel because of a worn needle and seat or float arm setting off or float arm and pin wear can cause excess smoking that a lot of people think is oil related. Plug shows .028 gap. You can try the so called "smokeless" synthetic oil,but there's really no such thing. It just smokes a tad less. Trouble shooting guide mentions pump setting first, then carb, then could be excessive piston to cylinder wear(check compression) Also if it's white smoke, could be coolant burning from a seeping head gasket. Plus over the years exhaust pipes can become full of carbon/oil build up and may help to have it cleaned. If you don't have a service manual here's a pdf that might help.Index of /ORV Manuals/Polaris/1985-1995 - All Models
