Ok, being that I ride alone most times, maybe I i'll avoid a lift, and just add some rubber.

What size are you running? Clutch kit? Got pics?

Run 27" XTRs on my 03 Vinson and 27" Bighorn on my 07 Rhino. No lifts or clutch kits and no issues. We ride mud, mountains, trails and use for work around our place.

I put on 26" maxxis Zillas on my little 350 without a lift or clutch kit plus the tires are a inch wider front and back vs the 25" stock tires.

front 26x9
backs 26x11
1.19" mud lugs
Have no pics of ATV yet.

all i have done so far is tires and rims and went with a rope on winch instead of cable, am thinking of going with different springs in clutch for a little more pop off the start

Your 455 Sportsman can handle 27" tire without a doing a thing I would guess, if my little 350 can handle 26".
The mid bore XP550 comes stock with 26" tires.

I ,d split the difference to be sure , get 26" with a more aggressive lug.

The Sportsman 500 came with 26" tires for a while so I know they can handle that size without any mods. 27s should work too.

the bigger the tire the more weight just make sure you get sum 6 or 8 ply tires , might be wrong but stock tires are only 2 ply i think, sum one will correct me if i am wrong
