Default Uneven plowing

Hey folks I have a 2012 sportsman with a glacierII plow mount.when I angle the plow to either side it leaves snow.if angled to the right the right side of the plow leaves snow, same if I angle it to the left.i haven't had the time to investigate too much yet,I was hoping someone might have dealt with this problem before. Thanks for any help

Is your plow frame parallel to the ground with the blade down ? If it's mounted too high on the machine frame it throws the geometry off and would give you this problem .

Bent plow frame or worn-out cutting edge.

I just got done looking it over.it looks like yooper might be right.the plow frame is a good bit lower(little over an inch)on the swivel part of the plow frame.this throws the geometry off so that when the plow is turned to 1 side or the other it causes the blade to be raised up on the trailing edge of the turned plow.nothin appears to be bent or broke and I'm running it without the skid shoes.the only fix I can think of would be to shim the plow mount on the machine down closer to the ground wich would level the thing out. This might be a project for a different case if beer than the 1 I'm currently occupied with...

When I said the plow frame sits lower on the swivel part,it's lower in the front than the back.im thinkin that should be level with the ground.what would someone with bigger tires or a lift do?

You will have to fab up a couple of longer brackets for the rear of the plow , or cut them and add whatever length you need to get the plow frame parallel to the ground with the blade down .
