Can you use a different non cv carb like a 400ex or fcr and do away with the fuel pump? If not, what other carb work cause I need a replacement.

 

I've seen them come into the shop with flat side carbs. Just have to have the correct cable and jet it right. will an edelbrock carb for a predator work on the scrambler 500?

 

Just my on this from the experience we had on Edelbrock on previous Ktms. I'd stay away from it. Plus the Predator 500 used a Mikuni 3131574 carb and not an Edelbrock in spite of one listed on ebay saying it came from a Predator 500! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Edelbrock-Predator-500-Carb-/231147672698?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35d179947a&vxp=mtr Possibly a Keihin FCR from an Outlaw would work,but this is a complex carb.
