Default can i leave terminals on battery when charging

If i want to top up my battery, can i leave it connected to the atv? It is a non-efi. Sometimes its a nightmare to get the bolt started when re-connecting terminals

Yes , you can leave them connected , won't hurt anything and battery will top off .

A battery tender is perfect for this. Pigtail stays on the battery and the connection is long enough to make it easy to connect.

I use a battery tender pigtail as well. Works great- very convenient and easy access.

Absolutely no reason to disconnect battery terminals. Just don't turn your key on while it's charging or it most likely will do damage!
