Bogging issue

Could be water grounding out the plug.Use electrical grease around the plug boot and on all connections to help keep water from causing electrical shorts.Silicone the recoil handle(if you have one) to keep water out of the stator area(you don't say what model you have?) Plus if you run in water up to your seat expect problems. It's not a submarine even if you snorkel one..

Look at your other post in the expert section! I addressed some of what you're asking on the carb boots, plus with water up that high it can get into the clutches through the air exhaust and air intake in the clutch cover, the cover gasket itself, but usually if it does it would slip even if it cranked right back up when you're pulled out. The carb has vent line also that can suck water. PLUS you've never said what machine you have..
