I own a 2000 Polaris 2x4 Magnum. The fan quit working so the motor heats up if I use it for any distance. We tested the old fan with some trouble shooting ideas from a atv blog site(possibly this one) and thought it was the fan. Bought a new fan...still doesn't work. Heat light comes on as soon as the key is turned on. We have a rogue brown wire clean cut off. We don't know if that would make the fan not work...read it may be a ground, but don't see anything it would have been attached to within reach...It runs perfect except for this fan issue. I don't want to sink a ton of money into this...just spent $120 on the fan...help!! Thanks.

 

Three things on the 325 that could be the problem. A shorted out thermistor sensor in the oil cooler,the sealed fan circuit breaker located under the front panel,along with the thermistor module under there also.Thermistor sensor is #11 Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
The breaker is #3, thermistor switch module #31.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse You can check for power on each side of the circuit breaker,oil cooler sensor and the module has tests that's in the manual which might be the your best bet if the circuit breaker isn't corroded or shorted out.
