found this site researching problem on new bike I just got which is a 2004 700 Polaris twin, the speedometer, trip, and odometer doesn't work everything else seems to on display, some say to check sensor on wheel which seems like it makes sense so tomorrow I will check and clean connection, but I did read that the 3 of them are on 1 fuseable link wondering if anybody knows where it is

 

Hall effect sensor that controls speed and mileage is located on the right front brake caliper.Check for mud/dirt that might be interfering with it,along with making sure the connector hasn't been pulled out from the back of the speedo.Some people have done this on purpose to keep from showing actual mileage but most of the time they just short out.We kept a couple of these in stock at all times.
