Default Fuel shutoff valve

Just ran some seafoam through my machine and now it floods out and stalls if i dont turn the fuel shutoff to 'off'

It will run for about a minute like this before i have to turn the valve on again (only for a few seconds or it floods) if i dont turn the fuel on soon enough it will bogg down and backfire.

Is there an adjustment on the carb i need to do? I tried the throttle cable adjustment but didnt notice any difference.

That sounds like the carb bowl float is stuck. Shake the atv hard side to side, lift the rear wheels several inches and let it drop. If that doesn't work remove the bowl and inspect the float and hinge.

Also lightly tapping the float bowl with a screwdriver handle might free it up.

If you have to tear into a carb always replace with a carb kit so you wont have to go back in.Complete kit less than the needle and seat from Polaris.

Then get the carb kit and hopefully it will solve your problems.Don't just clean up a carb as many people do and then have to go right back in again if cleaning doesn't solve it.
