Default Where Should I Mount My Winch (2000 Scrambler 500)

I have a winch on my scrambler, and the winch's controls are mounted into a tool box on the rear rack. I hate the box and I was wondering where I should put the controls?

I think I would put it on the front fender where you can reach it while still on the quad.

My bad, allow me to reiterate, the controls are on the handle bar, but the relay that signals currents from the winch to the controls is in the tool box

On the older models we mounted the the contactor assy on the upper rear frame by the battery according to the instructions,if this is the type winch you have or similar. On the old solenoid type we mounted them under the front panel.New model contactors are mounted under the right front fender.

I took my toolkit out of the battery compartment and placed the solenoid in its place. I put the toolkit in the glove box.
