2008 Ranger EFI 700 6x6 Bogging Down
#1
I know there are some other threads on here for bogging down but mine seems different. In high range not in allwheel drive if you are going and then push the pedal down hard it bogs down and doesn't gain speed if you slowly increase the gas it seems to do better. If you stomp it from a dead stop it seems to not bog or not as badly. If it is in AWD it doesn't bog down. It also doesn't bob down in Low Range. Any help is greatly appreciated.

First thing I'd check is the belt and blow out belt dust from the clutches. If it still has problems then could be that the tps may need to be recalibrated or the ecm may need to be reflashed.Even a dirty throttle body, dirty air filter can cause problems.Just look at the simple things first.

There are posts where people have just used digital meters on the tps sensors connectors to adjust them to get the base vdc voltage setting, then adjust the idle screw to the correct idle vdc,BUT I used the tps harness kit,9 volt battery and regulator that Polaris required to really set one right.Plus most throttle bodies have tamper proof or special "D" ring idle adjust screws to adjust idle. This is to keep people from tampering with a throttle body with out the correct tools. To reflash the ecm/ecu you definitely have to have it placed on Digital Wrench if needed.
