Default How much can I shave the head on a 400?

I just picked up a 95 xplorer 4x4 for cheap. There was only 90 psi of compression. I pulled the jug off and sure enough the piston was damaged. I have a 84mm wiseco ordered. I'd like to get a little more power out of her. How much can I shave the head to get more compression and a tighter squish. I know on some other two strokes I have (banshee & blaster) that a .040-.050 squish is optimal. I'm thinking the same rule applies to this machine. I'd like to get the compression close to 150psi so pump gas can be run.

If it's bored and honed properly you should be able to get around 145 psi with a new piston and stock head. Choice is up to you,but had a few people that had heads shaved .010-.020 that rebuilt their own engines after I bored cylinders and rebuilt cranks for them.
