does anyone think the extended warrenty for the 2001 scramber 500 4x4 is worth it? $400 bucks for an extra 18months.

I paid 445$ for 3 yrs for my 00 Xplorer 4x4.I could'nt be happier with it either. One trip to my dealer and it would of cost me around 500 dollars for repairs instead of the 25$ deductable.I busted a drive shaft plowing snow.I had bad tie rods, bad steering shaft, and a throttle cable go also.I have allready used up well over my 445 dollars that it cost me for the warrenty.

I'd just like to tell you that the extended warrenty is only as good as the dealer wants it to be,for example,I have a great mechanic that backs me up on everything, even if its MY fault. He could of very easily blamed the drive shaft and tie rods on me.It would of been easy for him to say that I plowed to much snow, putting to much stess on those parts. It would of been easy for him to say that I mud to much and got water in the throttle cable. He knows how I ride and he still backs me.Thats why I bought the extended warrenty for,so far,its been WELL worth it!There are alot of things that can go wrong on ANY 4x4 ATV,
Bill
