Consider your sources here. These are the infamous last words of any DIYer that has never done a winch install before. Every winch install I've ever read about was PITA, mine included and mine was also "prewired". Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I disagree! the prewired set up with a good set of instructions are pretty simple to install if you are to read, use basic tools and have the correct set up they are fairly easy to install. I my self have installed many winches on most brands w/ out prewired set ups and hardest part is placing the contactor in a good spot. good luck.

His 15 already has the rocker switch on the handle bars, it is literally that easy.

I don't think I'll have a hard time with the install, I'm a auto tech by trade.... So tools are second nature... I am leaning toward a Warn 3k# with the above mentioned bracket... I picked up a friend of mines '05 Arctic Cat 500 to work on it... It's got a Suzuki motor on it, should be fun... This way I'll be able to have someone to ride with at least...
