Default Tire Question

I know this has been gone over many times, but a quick search didn't really give me any definite answers. I am looking at replacing my stock tires on my '06 Sportsman 800. The tires i was looking at were the zillas with 27-9/12's up front and 27-11/12's in the back. I plan on keeping my stock rims too. I know the back will be fine, but will i need to do anything up front because of rubbing?

Thanks!

if I remember I had 27 xtr's on my 06 and 08 800 with out too much issue. I did however put spacers up front because of the normal strut sag. just check on the tie rod ends as they might rub and some people turned them around to fix the issue.

I have an 06 800 and i put ITP 589s 26 10 12s on front. After rubbing the tie rod boot I put a flat washer then 2 thick lock washers then another flat washer on each lug and had clearance. Im sure the 9s will have a slight clearance issue, but I couldnt spend alot on spacers and they have been on for years now.
Let us know how the taller tires fit, im thinking about 29 or 30 swamplites on mine. I have 28s on my 10 550eps and they are great.

If I remember correctly, I had to use a 1" spacer on my old '02 500 running 26" Outlaws. (Maybe it was a '00 500)

I would not use washers as spacers on the studs. Do it the right way.

9" wide zilla will just fit on your sportsman with about 1/8' clearance. Not sure if the steel wheels make a difference. mine are aluminum.
