Default Second calliper and disc on rear

Has anyone retro fitted a second disc and calliper on the other axle?

My sportsman has the mounts on the left rear hub for disc and calliper and it was standard on the international models. Looking at the parts, there are a couple of extra valves involved and the stop switch isn't located not the brake lever.

Its a mod I'd like for the riding we do, and an alternative to EBS in a way. Best of both worlds in my opinion.

Just wondered if anyone had done it.

What year is your Sportsman because my rear disc is mounted on the tranny not the rear axle. The newer sportsman have the rear disc inside the tranny in a wet bath.

The hand lever operates the two front discs and single rear disc simultaneously with 60% to the front and 40% to the rear, a extra disc in the back would probably throw that off.

I actually like the EBS because it saves on brake pad wear .

International version does show two rear calipers. Suppose you can do it,but would have to add the line, hardware, brake rotor and I suppose the different tee block along with the caliper. Can add up too over $500 or more in doing so.Just depends on if it's worth it to you.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Polaris, Suzuki & Kawasaki OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse
