Default Please help!!!!!! Someone!!!!

i was cleaning the start/kill light switch on my predator 500 cuz the switches where starting to stick i have done this before to other bikes so no problem! but this time the little ball thats inside the switches so i can roll (what makes the clicking sound) (kill engine to start or from lights off to low/high beams) shot out from the spring and i dont know where it went

so my question is - Where can i get one or can someone help out with one (the little silver ball) thats inside the start/kill light switch?

because i really done want to go out and buy the full assembly for $50-90 just because of a little ball

That's why I quit tearing these switches apart, got tired of chasing parts if they flew out. Only thing you can really do is to spray electrical contact cleaner through the gaps to clean up contact points. The little ball is smaller than a bb.Best guess is to try a good hardware store, take the slide switch with you to try to match up the ball that fits inside it or just breakdown and get a new switch and lesson learned on tearing this control switch apart.

Did that once, while we were out camping. Almost didn't find that little ball. Learned to not do that again.

You might check out ebay for a switch that's broken, but still has that part.

If you can check the diameter you might find one here: McMaster-Carr

You'll have a bunch of spares if you can find the right size... (They have no minimum order).

A BB is .177 inch or 4.5mm so if you get a metric size it will have to be 4mm or less.

Hmm, somehow the link above got changed.

Try "www.mcmaster.com/#standard-steel-*****/=wcnywv"

They have steel ***** down to 3/64 or 1 mm.
