You need to take the crank to a machine shop and have them measure the journal and the existing rod bearings to see which over size bearings are needed to clean up the crank shaft. Print off the parts break down link I posted and show the machinist the sizes of the bearings offered. He can go from there and tell you what size. Here's what one owner had to do."Bearing Pt # 3086799 Individualy packed so you'll need 2 of them.
This is a .25mm under bearing but make sure the rod is refinished and the bearing installed and torqued. Then take inside measurement to turn the crank.
Other specs
Bearing clearance .0007" to .0025"
Rod torque 29-33 ft/lbs"
Even better if you have the service manual on the full specs so the machinist doesn't screw up.2002 Polaris Magnum 325 Service Manual PDF Download Just print the engine spec page.

So tore it all down, the rod is tossed but i was able to hone the cylinder and looks really nice!

The crank (though i don't want to) i am useing some emry cloth and polishing it the best i can and getting a set of std. bearings, the crank seems to measure in spec with a harbor fright 15 dollar caliper.....
Local ATV shops said they can do the crank UNTIL i bring it there and they see its a one piece crank...I asked if they can GRIND IT they said yes.....this was not true. They can get me a full referb one for 380.....

Is there ANY other crank that will fit??? that is a one piece???? I can find 60 dollar working decent bearing scramblers and magnum 425's but NOTHING in this

Nope, this is the only crank shaft that will fit.. Thought you might have problems with this. Sounds like you need to find a good machine shop or at least take it into the one you talked to and see if they can help. Take the engine specs and over size bearing specs!!. Std bearings back on the crank isn't a good idea IF there is any wear on the rod journal. All it will do is throw the bearings in a short amount of time. Only alternative is to get a new crank shaft or trust a used on on ebay which I wouldn't..

I ended up ordering a new crank from partzilla its 265 bucks vs 365 or 440 everywhere else.
Now to wait for slow Polaris to ship the items, is there some reason parts seem to take 1-2 weeks to ship?? Bike bandit says it takes 8-12 days and so dose the link you sent me, but other machines don't seem to have that issue.

Good price even compared to Cycle Parts Warehouse which usually has the cheapest prices on parts. Considering the short run of the 325 could be part of length of time on shipping, even though the 330 Magnum shared the same crank for 2 years(2003-2004) Never had a problem with CPW for the few orders I placed which were shipped fairly quick. Even got one order in 4 days.. It's getting close to the time that a lot of manufacturers start running out of their supply of repair parts for machines over 10-12 years old so best to get them while you can.

Did find that the updated crank shaft Part# goes to the 2013 models,so parts should be around for a few more years. Just in case you break something else...

Yeah, i saw that and looked to see if anyone had a used one even though i ordered my new crank....Still nothing came up!

Also i got my crank from partzilla today....they shipped a order from Wednesday night, that was ordered from Polaris and then shipped to me in less time then my local dealer could get my rod that i ordered Wednesday morning........

Problem with ordering parts from a dealer(plus in most cases at a higher cost) is that small and even larger shops don't place orders until they have enough of them to get free shipping from Polaris...This is another thing that hurts dealers along with the already high prices that Polaris charges dealers on parts to begin with. Not defending dealers, but you can't compare ordering from them to online suppliers that in many cases ship an order soon as they get it.. Dealers can do a blue label two day or red label overnight for you,but costs on this would make you think twice..

Just hurts them over me....I do understand, i work at a small business where i run the store with close to 3000 parts in stock, i do have to order things and i get that....

I just don't have to like it and/or i was trying to support local......now its been 2-3 days since i got the crank and still the local business is holding me up....Yes i will live, its not really gonna change anything....but it hurts them if i decide to not order parts not, even if it really is Polaris's fault...>But as a buinessness that's what a lot of the companys do
