Outlaw 90 spring removal
#2
Save yourself some grief and just take the shock to a good cycle shop that can do this in 5 minutes and very like likely charge you peanuts for the job.Or if you're determined to do it yourself, possible area auto stores have small enough spring compressors that you can "rent". This is the one I had at the shop.Makes short work of spring changes.Just clamp the bottom into a vise and compress the spring enough to slide the retainer off.

I got it taken care of, but thank you anyway. So remember the clutch issue I was having the other day? I got a service manual and got it all figured out. The primary clutch was stuck, got that all apart and fixed up. Also, the bearing in the crankcase for the shaft for the secondary clutch was bad. As well as the oil seal. Got the new parts on the way from cycle parts warehouse. Thanks again for your help!
