Default 89 polaris trailboss 250 rs/e rear brake

i bought the quad in pieces and have had to re build assemble it.

oil pump is bad and i would like to rid myself of that and do pre mix
is there a kit i need or just block off the line?

also the most important piece of information to me is assembling the rear brake. it appears to be a small disk with a caliper and pad under the right rear fender that sits on a spline. what are the steps to assembling this. it baffles me because nothing seems right with this set up

any help at all is appreciated

You can drain the oil tank, remove the small hose from the pump to the injector at the cylinder base and cap it off. Premix 40-1. This is the cheapest way and you can still use the split throttle/oil pump cable. If you want a block off plate, they have them here, but best to change to the single throttle cable.Aaen Performance - Polaris ATV Two Stroke - Top End Pipes Plus you can make your own block off plate to save some $.
This is the old style rear brake if you have it.Shows that the rs/e was made up until the 88 model year, the rear brake was a updated to the adjustable mechanical/hydraulic type, but I really can't remember.Hopefully the parts bread down can help you on assembly.http://www.cyclepartswarehouse.com/f...1989&fveh=5336
