I recently picked up an 06 500efi with 3600 miles on it for $1800. BUT I replaced the stator, ball joints, all wheel bearings and brake pads, u joints and a cv boot. Also rebuilt the front differential. Mine was clearly not maintained but at the end of the day I have about 2500 into it. I would say if you can knock him down a few hundred it's probably a decent deal. I bought mine knowing it needed work and enjoyed doing it but I hope I can get a few years out of if just doing regular maintenance now ;-)

Sounds like he's splitting the difference between trade in price and what dealers would list it for looking at Kelly Blue Book.Kelley Blue Book This is what a lot of people do. Condition is the key not age of the machine. You can tell real quick if it's worth the $3700 he's asking, but $3500 cash money waved in his face might make him move off that set in stone price..Plus I see the price is Canadian,so factor in the difference..

I checked a conversion site that said that would be $2,810 USD. That doesn't sound too bad but I haven't checked KBB or NADA.

From what I've seen on most posts on here, prices for used quads in Canada are noticeably higher than they are for quads in the U.S. $2800 U.S. is pretty reasonable for a good used efi 500, that's what I recently paid for my 06 Grizzly 660 but it had about 3000 miles on it when I got it. Does it have good tires? A winch? These can add value as well.

Ive had an 07 Sp500 since nearly new with only one issue other than normal wear and tear items. With nearly 3500 miles and 300 hours the T bap issue has been my only gremlin and that's a common one with the EFI's. The 500's are pretty dependable..

If it has ADC turn it on and ride it a little bit. Mine broke and made a terrible noise. Other than that I haven't had any problems on my '08.

When that 07 came out, you were close to $10,000 after taxes. Our Dollar was low back in 06 when it was new. Thats a good price, half of what a new 570 is. Polaris was way ahead of everyone at adjusting prices when our dollar rose.
When I was looking used, $6,000 was the average for one of that vintage. So I bought new.

Good luck.

well.. I bought the bike. It wasn't an 07 its actually a 08 carb.
winch front and back.. rear storage box.
Plastics are in really nice shape, tires about 50% 4x4 works fine.. axles and boots are good.
went riding on saturday and found the infamous polaris curse.. Starter drive went south.... and along with that it small parts of the bendix got down into the stator.
I'm hoping it didn't destroy it!
Ordering a new starter drive today and I'll see if it still charges after that.
On the up side.. this bike seems to have more power than the 2002 that we have.
