I agree with shoes especially. I've only bought I believe 2 pair of shoes or boots online in my entire life. One was a pair of safety toe shoes for work a couple years ago and the other was a pair of hiking boots that I use for my riding boots, which make great riding boots by the way. The safety toe shoes fit ok but a half-size bigger would have been better. They were always a little snug. Its nice to support local business too but with clothes and shoes its nice to know they fit before you take them home. With other things like batteries, you sometimes will get a defective one and its easier to drive 5 miles to my local auto parts store than it it to ship it back to replace it and wait several days to get another one.
