Chinese quad wont turn over without removing spark plug... Stuck valve?
I was given what I believe is a 90 or 110cc Tao Tao or Redcat.
It was missing the carb, starter, battery & the wiring & switches were a mess.
I found diagrams & replacement parts then simplified the wiring & replaced switches & spark plug.
With a fully charged battery, I press the starter button & it tries to turn over but builds up pressure & acts like there is a stuck exhaust valve preventing it from releasing the pressure & letting the crank make it's full rotation.
However, when I remove the spark plug & press the starter button, it turns
over & over with no problem.
Fresh 2 stroke fuel. Carb & fuel Lines & filter are good & spark tested OK...
I bought a valve adjustment tool & with my big hands & fingers & limited visibility on this tiny motor, I'm not what to do with it...
"where do I put this tiny tool & what exactly am I looking for to adjust?"
Any ideas on what to do next? Thanks in advance for any advice! Robert

Post pics as I don't think you know what you really have.

If your engine won't spin over without the plug out, you probably either have a flat battery or one of the main leads is loose. These are the battery terminals, the ones on the starter solenoid relay, the starter lead, and the earths onto engine and frame. If you get the battery charged, check those leads, and it still won't go over compression, your starter is faulty. MPDano is right about not using two stroke mix in an engine with valves.
