If oil's not in the air box and vent line isn't split, then I'd retrace what you did on the crush washers. Sounds like pressure is building somewhere. Plus are you sure you have the oil filter in correctly with the open end facing outward? Just fishing..

To be honest I don't remember, I will have to take the filter out and check, if my memory serves me correct can it only go in one way?

Is there any way there could possibly be an air lock in the system? The only reason I ask is, I have lost a lot of oil twice and it is still full on the dip stick.

Like i said before, i changed the oil and put an exact measurement of 2-1/4 quarts in it. Would it or even could it be possible for there to be an air lock?

I am also confused the fact that, IF the oil was over filled,,,, then it should end up in the air filter, not on the top of my case.

With engine off remove the plug on top of the oil filter cover. This should expel any trapped air if any. Also might be worth the effort on checking the crank case one way check valve to see if the plunger is free.Might be what's happening if it's stuck or galled.
