Default 2003 Predator 50 help!!

I have pulled the carb apart literally 10 times. Perfectly clean. Adjusted the float so it is the level of the bowl where it joins the main body. Left gas cap off. Plenty of gas getting to the carb. Will only run when I pour gas in the carb inlet. Runs till that's done then quits. I am at my wits end!!!

Check that you're getting good fuel flow to the carb. Shouldn't have to pull a carb more than once either to install a rebuild kit or in this case cheap knock off carbs are every where.Carburetor for Polaris 50 Scrambler 2001 2002 2003 ATV Manual Choke Carb New | eBay I'd do a compression check just to make sure the top end is ok first. Minimum by the manual is 115 psi.

Thank you. I have 125 psi compression. I found that the intake boot was loose. Tightened it up and it took right off

Glad it was something simple.

Default spoke too soon

Now its really hard to start. Runs well when its going though. There are some small cracks in the intake boot going to the air cleaner. Could that make the difference? The carb was seized up. It took about 5 cleanings with the ultrasonic cleaner as well as carb cleaner and compressed air. Maybe I need a new carb?

Block the air intake duct with your thumb on cold starts. We had an in house bulletin on this on the youth models that had starting problems. The bulletin first came out on the electric choke models, but some later manual choke models had the same problem. Blocking off the air intake tube allows a larger charge of gas into the intake manifold for quicker starting. Once warm most engines would restart easily. If that doesn't help and you think it's still carb related, plenty of cheap Chinese 15-20 buck carbs on ebay you could try.
