Hey Guys,
Quick question about my Scrambler 500 4x4. I noticed that when I open it up on an old flat back road, that approaching its top speed, the whole machine starts to shake violently. Could this be a tire balance problem. I ask this because, my dealer recommemded that I put in some tire stuff ( Not Slime, but stuff the dealer said was better, and I have a pretty good dealer), and I asked about tire balance, and he said that he never had a problem with it. If it is the tire balance, can you rebalance them like car tires?? Will the dealer be able to do something for me when I bring it in for my annual service?? Thanks for your help.....Balintawak

If you have any type of leak sealant in the tire, it will shake at speed. If you don't it could be a bad balance match with your rim. Had that happen several years ago with a set of Bandits on racing rims. The problem is finding someone with a machine that can spin the wheels with that bolt pattern and center hole. Fortunately I found a tire dealer that could do this and used the mag wheel tape weights and epoxied them on. Worked great. It was unbelievable how out of balance they actually were.

You might want to check and see if the tires are out of round. My wifes srambler had a rear tire out of round and it shook like that. I took it out on the hiway and smoked them now there round and no shake.
